Filip Eyckmans, a former Belgian tennis player turned soccer enthusiast/DJ, developed the game while living in Spain, after traveling to Brazil as a band manager. In Bossaball, however, it is important that the ball hits the inflatable part and not the trampoline part. Another great thing about Bossaball is the fact that music is an inseparable part of the game, with the referee actually holding the title of the “samba referee” who also MCs the match.
